Les Orpellières, the Wildest of Sérignan’s Beaches
Bordered by impressive dunes (some reaching up to 8 metres high), Orpellières Beach is nestled in the nature reserve of the same name. Here, there is no concrete or crowds, just nature in its raw state.
Attractions: For lovers of tranquility and wild landscapes, it is a true paradise.
Location: West of the seaside resort, towards Valras Beach.
Tips for Accessing Les Orpellières Beach
– Parking along the road:
You will find several car parks along the road. For a complete experience, I recommend you opt for number 6. From there, a path will take you directly to the beach.
As a bonus, this path will allow you to access an observatory which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding dunes.
– Ferry boat from Valras-Plage:
Another original option is to take the ferry from Valras Plage. Make sure you note the times of passage so you don’t get stuck on the beach!
Whether by road or by boat, Orpellières Beach awaits you for a day of relaxation and adventure!
Sérignan Naturist Beach
Renowned for its beauty, this beach attracts naturist enthusiasts. Its fine sand and preserved environment make it a unique place to relax.
Services: A first aid station is operational in summer.
Location: Also located in the nature reserve.
Séoune Beach
Séoune Beach is the widest of all. It is appreciated by campers looking for space.
Access by car is difficult, as there is no dedicated parking.
Location: In the area where there are many campsites, between the naturist beach to the west and La Chapelle beach to the east.
Tip: Follow the direction of the Beauséjour campsite to get there.
Chapel Beach
This sandy beach is bordered by dunes, and behind these are numerous campsites.
Atmosphere: This beach is not supervised, which makes it a more intimate place. It is frequented mainly by campers.
Access: Some parking spaces are available along the road. You can also reach this beach from the Maïre beach car park by walking about 400 meters.
Location: East of the resort centre.
The Grande Maïre Beach
Grande Maïre Beach is the main beach of the seaside resort and the most accessible.
This large sandy beach offers a good width and is bordered by dunes. It is supervised in summer.
Location: To the east, at the level of the Grande Maïre Reserve and its lagoon, on the border with the Portiragnes station.
Services: Enjoy the straw hut with its restaurant and rent deckchairs for a relaxing day in the sun.
Access: From Sérignan-Plage, follow the main road (D37E11) to the car park near the Bleu Marine campsite. Paths through the dunes lead to the beach. Note that parking is chargeable from June 15 to September 15 (€6 per vehicle per day)
