Step through a giant, glittering bauble into the festive atmosphere of the Béziers Christmas Market. Over 30 twinkling chalets line the pedestrianised Allées Paul Riquet, offering a magical holiday experience. Browse stalls brimming with artisanal crafts, local specialities and festive treasures – perfect for finding unique Christmas gifts.
The cheerful glow of decorated stands showcases gourmet treats and handcrafted items ranging from Béziers’ very own perfume to cheesy Christmas jumpers! Food lovers will find it hard to resist the market’s tempting smells, with favourites like hot waffles, creamy aligot, melted raclette and spiced mulled wine adding to the festive atmosphere.
For a one-of-a-kind experience, eat in one of the fun ski lift gondolas that are placed between the chalets. These even have working doors and lights to keep you warm and cosy whilst you eat! Adding to the festivities, live music performances and events will also take place between 23 November 2025 and 4 January 2026.
2025 Béziers Christmas Lights: Where to See the Best Displays
At Christmas time, Béziers is also known for its enchanting Christmas Lights display (Illuminations de Noël). The historic streets and landmarks of Béziers sparkle with twinkling lights that add a festive charm to the city centre.
However, the real showstopper is the family-friendly themed light display at Place Jean Jaurès, located right next to the Christmas Market. Running from 22 November 2025 to 11 January 2026, this dazzling display is free to enjoy daily.
Visitors of all ages will be enchanted by the fairytale landscape of twinkling lights. This year’s centrepiece is a festive ski piste complete with skiers and ski gondolas gliding overhead, all set above the water in the heart of the square.
The magical woodland theme features an enchanting trail for all the family that winds around Santa’s workshops. Along the way, you’ll discover his cosy post office, the bustling toy workshop and even the reindeer stable.
At either end of Place Jean Jaurès, two towering Christmas trees rise above a festive forest of more than 100 smaller Christmas trees. Scattered throughout this magical setting are illuminated scenes featuring shimmering penguins, reindeer, Santa’s sleigh and giant Christmas presents.
The famous fountains of Place Jean Jaurès are also part of the festivities, hosting spectacular sound and light shows throughout the season. The La Fontaine Musicale de Noël performances run:
