The Béziers Christmas Market is a must-visit holiday attraction, open daily from Saturday 23 November 2024 until Sunday 5 January 2025. Unlike some other Christmas Markets, admission is free!

What to Expect at the Béziers Christmas Market
Step through a giant, glittering bauble into the festive atmosphere of the Béziers Christmas Market. Over 30 twinkling chalets line the pedestrianised Allées Paul Riquet, offering a magical holiday experience. Browse stalls brimming with artisanal crafts, local specialities and festive treasures – perfect for finding unique Christmas gifts.
The cheerful glow of decorated stands showcases gourmet treats and handcrafted items ranging from Béziers’ very own perfume to cheesy Christmas jumpers! Food lovers will find it hard to resist the market’s tempting smells, with favourites like hot waffles, creamy aligot, melted raclette and spiced mulled wine adding to the festive atmosphere.
For a one-of-a-kind experience, eat in one of the fun ski lift gondolas that are placed between the chalets. These even have working doors and lights to keep you warm and cosy whilst you eat! Adding to the festivities, live music performances also take place on Friday and Saturday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00.
Béziers Christmas Lights: Where to See the Best Displays
At Christmas time, Béziers is also known for its enchanting Christmas Lights display (Illuminations de Noël). The historic streets and landmarks of Béziers sparkle with twinkling lights that add a festive charm to the city centre.
However, the real showstopper is the themed light display at Place Jean Jaurès, located right next to the Christmas Market. Running from 23 November 2024 to 5 January 2025, this dazzling display is free to enjoy daily from 10:00 to 23:00.
Visitors of all ages will be enchanted by the fairytale landscape of twinkling lights. This year’s centrepiece is Santa’s magnificent reindeer and sleigh that float elegantly above the water in the centre of the square.
The magical woodland theme includes giant snow domes with animal scenes, a charming gingerbread house, an enormous walk-through igloo, polar bears and more! At either end of Place Jean Jaurès stand two towering Christmas trees, complete with playful elves climbing to the top.
The famous fountains of Place Jean Jaurès are also part of the festivities, hosting spectacular sound and light shows throughout the season. The La Fontaine Musicale de Noël performances run:
